DRINKS & MENU
Ten bars, ten different selections. Most carry the Thai standards — Chang, Singha, Leo on draft and in bottles. Imported beers at the bars that stock them. Cocktails where the bartenders know what they're doing. And at one bar, the only real Guinness on draft in the complex.
The Guinness
Look, finding Guinness in Pattaya isn't the problem. Plenty of bars stock the cans. A few have bottles. The problem is finding a proper pint — from a tap, with the nitrogen cascade, poured in two stages by someone who knows the difference between rushing it and doing it right.
KQ Bar is the only bar in Las Vegas Beer Garden with real Guinness on draft. The bartenders pour it the way it's meant to be poured. Tilt the glass. Fill three-quarters. Wait. Let the nitrogen do its work — the cascade settling from cloudy to dark, a process that takes about two minutes. Then top it off. Flat. Clean. Cold.
Jason from Ireland — and an Irishman judging Guinness abroad carries weight — called it "one of the best I have had outside Ireland." The glass sweats in the tropical heat. The foam holds. The taste is right. If you've been searching for a proper pint in Pattaya, the search ends at the back of this complex, next to the stage, at the bar with the black and gold sign.
What's Behind the Bar
Each bar in the complex is independently operated, which means drink selections vary. The Thai locals (Chang, Singha, Leo) are everywhere — cold, cheap, and reliable in the heat. Beyond that, it depends which bar you're sitting at.

Beyond Beer
Not everyone's here for a pint. KQ Bar has bartenders Save and Bank who make proper cocktails — not the premixed-from-a-bottle kind you get at most Pattaya beer bars. The shot menu is extensive and goes beyond the usual suspects. Unusual combinations that actually work, served cold, named things you'll probably forget by morning. Mark and his friends from the US singled out "the staff know how to make a proper cocktail."
Imported spirits are the real thing — no counterfeit bottles, no local substitutions poured into branded glass. Quality matters more at altitude-zero humidity where you taste everything sharper. The difference between a cheap whisky and a proper one is amplified when you're drinking in 30-degree heat.
Drinking in the Tropics
Here's what nobody tells you about drinking in Pattaya: the heat changes everything. A cold Chang on draft at 6 PM, when the sun is still warm and the complex is just waking up, tastes different from the same Chang at midnight when the air has cooled and the band is in full swing. Early evening, you want something crisp and cold — the local drafts do the job. Later, when the temperature drops to a comfortable 25 degrees and you've found your seat, that's when the Guinness or a properly mixed cocktail hits right.
The open-air layout means most of the complex has no air conditioning. The tropical breeze keeps it comfortable, but your drink warms fast if you nurse it. The regulars know: drink at a steady pace, alternate with water, and if you want cold comfort, sit at KQ Bar where the AC makes your glass sweat from the outside, not the inside.
During rainy season (June through October), the occasional afternoon shower clears the air and drops the temperature. Those evenings are the best for drinking — cooler air, fewer crowds, the complex feels more relaxed. High season (November to March) is busier and warmer, but the buzz of a full complex makes up for it.
