Look, Walking Street is worth seeing once. The sensory overload is part of the Pattaya experience. But for a second visit? Most people don't. Soi 6
Short street, no-frills beer bars, a reputation that precedes it. Soi 6 is Pattaya at its most stripped-back. The bars are small, the drinks are cheap, and the vibe is... direct. Not for couples. Not for families. Not for first-time visitors who want to ease in gently. If you know what Soi 6 is, you know whether it's for you. If you don't know, it's probably not.
Soi Buakhao / LK Metro
Where expats drink. Lower key than Walking Street, more varied than Soi 6. The bars along Soi Buakhao range from quiet local spots to proper sports bars. LK Metro is a compact entertainment area with a mix of everything — beer bars, cocktail spots, music venues. It's walkable to Las Vegas Beer Garden on Soi Diana in about two minutes, which makes it a natural pairing for a night out.

KQ Bar at the back — seats along the stage edge, draft Guinness, staff who leave you alone — is where most people end up by the end of the night.
Tree Town
The newer complex on Pattaya Tai. Growing reputation, similar concept to Las Vegas Beer Garden — multiple bars in one venue. Still building its regular crowd. Worth checking out if you're in South Pattaya, but it lacks the established live music programme and the ten-bar variety that LVBG offers.
Nightclubs: Insomnia, Lucifer, Windmill
The big clubs are on and around Walking Street. Insomnia and Lucifer are the long-running ones — DJs, packed floors, refrigerated air, going until the early hours. Windmill sits at the go-go end of the same street and draws its own crowd. They're loud, late and busy, and they're the right answer if what you want is a dance floor rather than a band. Most people do the clubs once, late, after a slower start elsewhere. If it's live music you're after, the clubs aren't it — that's the stage on Soi Diana.
Rooftop Bars
The hotel rooftops along Beach Road — Hilton, Dusit Thani and the like — are the sunset option: climate-controlled sections, a view over the bay, a different crowd and a different bill. Best as the first drink of the evening before the street-level night starts. Nobody stays on a rooftop until 2 AM.
